Like Swiss Airlines, it is a subsidiary of Lufthansa, and code-shares extensively with them. It operates a combination of short-haul narrowbody aircraft and long-haul wide-body aircraft, including variants of the A320, B767 and B777, with a very high average fleet age of roughly 16 years. Austrian Airlines' frequent flier program is Miles & More, and it is a member of Star Alliance.
